And by ‘baby’, I mean coffee (sorry Beyonce). Yeah, it was a jumbo cup kinda morning.

Last night, I worked until about midnight, which makes two late nights in a row.  Not okay for us g-mas.  This morning, I looked severely haggard (love that word).  Not even this could help…


Optimum Blueberry Cinnamon cereal, banana + skim milk

Does anybody else approximate they eat about 7 servings of cereal a morning?  I am pretty sure I do.  Don’t ever measure out cereal.  It’s pathetic the amount you get.

What’s not pathetic?  Mini-meals! I love having several yummy dishes to look forward to throughout the day.

1 cup 0% Fage Greek yog
1 smashed naner
1 Kashi Honey Almond Flax granola bar
AB frosting



Dayum good.

Later, it was leftovers from last night’s Indian concoction



Okay, so I realize it looks like I pooped in my Palak Paneer, but in actuality, that is just how the dish looks.  Like poop.

After work, I came home, shoveled down more Food Should Taste Good Cinnamon chips (like the ones above) and headed out for a 6-mile run with my friend Brett.  Twas’ a good run, which was a huge relief.

When I got home, I made a salad that sounded really delicious in theory but only turned out meh

bed of organic baby spinach
mashed black beans (seasoned w/ cumin + garlic)
1/4 cup salsa
1/2 red pepper
1/2 avocado
Food Should Taste Good Lime chips



The salad was meh (not enough salsa?), but the chips WERE SO GOOD.  If you like lime flavoring (*cough, margarita-flavoring, cough*), you will j’adore these chips.  They are the perfect salty, tangy bite and saved this salad from perhaps turning up on this Web site.

Also, just an FYI, I don’t always post everything I eat.  Some days I do, some days I don’t.  Just sayin’.

This weekend is GINORMOUS, so I need to rest up.

  • FRIDAY: Work 1/2 day, drive to parent’s house, tour a community health clinic, drive to MN.
  • SATURDAY: Run 20 miles (hopefully this lady will run part way with me), buy a wedding present, attend the wedding of one of my childhood friends, get my mom dance on.
  • SUNDAY: Meet up with my bestie Ashley, drive back to WI, get my life in order for Monday.

In other words, you may or may not see back around bloggyville until Sunday.  Alright, I am out to go to watch Glee on one of my other favorite Web sites.  Yeah, I’m poor and still don’t have a TV.

P.S. A belated shoutout to my gal Andrea who also made Granny Everythingtarian’s Banana Bread.  She would be so proud :).

Whatcha all looking forward to this weekend? Spill the deets a day early since I won’t be around.  I think I am most looking forward to getting the big 20-miler behind me!
