Wins and Losses

At this exact moment, I am eating another sheet pan of garlic parmesan kale chips, re-reading yesterday’s post and wondering what the heck was I thinking while writing it?

I guess ya can’t win ‘em all.

But…you can win breakfast with The Best Pumpkin Oats Ever.

1/3 cup oats
1/3 cup water + 1/3 cup skim milk
pinch salt
1/3 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 smashed banana
drizzle of Xagave
cinnamon, ginger + nutmeg
dollop o’ Mighty Maple PB

CIMG5728

But you can’t win with some uber-foamy nonfat chai lattes.

CIMG5729

Not my favorite chai I’ve ever had.

However, you can win with POM.  POM Nectarine Spritzer anyone?

CIMG5739

Tart, sweet and yummy, with a side of pictures from Southeast Asia and a box of cane sugar.

Overall, I did not win this day. I am meh at best right now.  However, YOU can win today.  That’s right, if you read my girl Janetha’s blog, you know where this is going…

XAGAVE GIVEAWAY!!!!

CIMG5702-1024x768

That’s right, one of you lucky readers will be the recipient of a bottle of Xagave, the natural sweetener made from both blue and white agave, as well as a cookbook utilizing this wonder sugar replacement!  It’s organic, low glycemic (doesn’t raise the blood sugar) and tastes good – it doesn’t have that weird aftertaste I have found with some agaves.

Here’s whatcha gotta do:

(1) Leave me a comment telling me your favorite use for agave syrup. If you haven’t tried it, tell me
the first thing you will use/make with it.

(2) Link back to this giveaway on your blog, and leave me a 2nd comment letting me know you did so.
If you don’t have a blog, just leave me a 2nd comment and tell me something random about yourself.

(3) Vote for me in the Foodbuzz Blogger Awards (no shame, no shame) by clicking on that link, then leave me a
3rd comment letting me know you did so.  If you already voted for me, make it known!

You have until Sunday at 9pm to enter – the winner will be announced bright n’ early Monday morning.

Off  to cross my fingers that my 2-3 day (2 wins, 3 losses) evens itself out to .500 soon…

Creepiest comment ever, but I can totally tell you live in the Midwest (uh, besides you admitting it on your bio) because of those hardwood floors + window lighting for the food pics. Mostly because that’s exactly what all my food pics looked like when I lived in Chicago. I got nothin’ but love for Wisconsin, though <3

I love agave in my tea. Or drizzle onto a gigantic spoon that also houses raw almond butter. I mean, what? It sounds good in theory, but I've never done that…
