Ok, that looks like an AMAZING weekend!! I love Chicago so so so much. Way to rock it. I am now realizing that I need to get a weekend out there on the calendar before the summer is up.

I celebrated (ahem) freedom (ahem) by laying in the sun all day on a boat and on a floating dock, drinking beer, eating cheetos and sandwiches, grilling, watching fireworks from the boat/water and swimming a lot. It was actually kind of the best ever.

Can’t wait to hear more bout what you’ve been up to!

  18. Mackenzie @ Whatever, Gatsby Says:

Holy bajoly! Lovin’ the Chi-town pics. I used to live in Chicago, and I can’t wait to be that city’s clingy lover once again! :) Mwahaha

You ARE TOO PRECIOUS! Can I get a hellz yeah for the unitard?! I more than secretly want one.

  19. wendy @ ABCs and Garden Peas Says:

Just wanted to let you know that you are inspiring healthy eating in the next generation of Central PA children, so i linked to you in my latest post! :)

I wish you would date my friend Craig. We could all hang out and eat food. It’d be fun.

  20. samantha Says:

booyah to summer fourth of jooly vacation.

i celebrated by ingesting chlorine, surviving solely off of beer, bbqing, watching fireworks explode over the washington monument and enjoying life in all ways possible! now back work. sigh.

  21. Heather (Perspective Is Everything) Says:

rockin’ the bodysuit/furry vest like nobody’s bidnezz! love it!
ooh….. looks like you had so much fun :D

my weekend was spent lounging, visiting, and hanging at the (VERY) local Tyranena Brewery.
    Ever had Tyranena beer?
It’s such a cool brewery-family/dog friendly and bands play every friday and saturday.
    SO much fun!!

  22. Megan (Braise the Roof) Says:

Girl, we were on the same beach this weekend! Did you get burned at all like I did? Sometimes I forget that I am translucent. I’m a fool, I tell you!

  23. claire Says:

HA…that photo of you in the jumpsuit (?) and vest…so great! It looks like such a fun weekend lady!

  26. Diana @ frontyardfoodie Says:

I obviously didn’t take advantage of this holiday as well as you……looks like you had a BLAST.

However, with a burgeoning belly and a kicking baby all up in my rib area I managed to relax instead of party hard. A girl’s gots to have balance I suppose!

  27. Kacy Says:

Glorious! We really must meet in person. I think we are one and the same. And that pizza?!?! I DIE!

  30. Katharina Says:

Holly!!! One of these days you are going to have a wordless weekend edition and I will be in it :D I wish more people were as full of life as you, and with your perspective on things. Actually… that’s one of the many reasons why you’re so special lol. So maybe it’s better if you’re the one and only :p I also spy a cheese spread that has my name written on it, I swear it’s there! Don’t you see it? lol

    XOXO

p.s. I think of you every time I go out to watch a World Cup match :D Beer is on the house for you!!! And you know what? You inspire me to live as well. I know at times you feel like your up to your ears with to-do lists but like I said earlier, you’ve got an awesome take on life. Even on days when you’re not feeling your best, you are still real and that’s really hard to find. Love you!

  31. Kady @ Livin, Lovin, Learnin Says:

Your weekend looks like a blast! I ate at Giordano’s in Chicago on a high school trip and one of my guy friends put down 4 pieces of that pizza. I have no idea where he put it all. I love that flag cake! So cute!

  32. Lynn @ The Actors Diet Says:

great pix, holly! i have always wanted to go to chicago. i would settle for some good mini golf right about now!

  33. Erica D Says:

Mmm, the weekend looks great! I love Chicago. In fact, I’m not a pizza person in the least, but one deep dish I’ve had in that city still holds a dear place in my heart. I managed to get out of camp, drive to my cousin’s remote property in the mountains, and hang out with some cool kids for a while. I missed the fireworks, but I still got to drive some awesome ATV’s around! I love embracing my semi-redneck activities once in a while.

  34. Susan Says:

Okay. You HAVE to crash HLS in Chicago so we can get deep dish pizza. I’ve never had it before and that picture is making me salivate all over my laptop. We should probably have waffle cones together as well. And take more pictures of us jumping for no reason ;) LOVE YOU!!

  35. Sherah (MeltyRobot) Says:

YUM @ that Chicago pizza!! This is my favorite kind. There’s a place here tucked into the yuppiest, crowded-est mall that makes this serious Chicago-style sauce-covered spinach pizza that I would literally saw my arm off for. A gem in a land of meh. But the real thing must be divine.

Also, your hair is adorable. Also, you look like you’re having so much fun in life. Yay for serious living!
