Walnut Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
1/2 stick butter
1 cup sugar
4 very ripe bananas
1 egg
2 cups flour (I used whole wheat, and it still turned out marvelously!)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup crushed walnuts
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
In a mixing bowl or stand mixer, cream together the butter and sugar. Add 3 of the bananas and egg; mix well. Turn off the mixer, and add the dry ingredients into the bowl. Mix until it forms a batter. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts, then pour in a greased loaf pan. Slice the remaining banana on top.
Bake the bread for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. Take out of the pan to cool, and enjoy!
