Let me tell y’all a little story…
There once was a little girl named Holly. After a long day at work, she headed home on the highway, excited for all the luxuries that only home can bring – homemade dinner, the comfort of a soft bed and the promise of a free night all to herself. However, on the car ride home, the weather turned quite treacherous. Rain poured and poured and poured. It took her over an hour to get home. Needless to say, she was out of patience and cursing at everyone and anyone.
She arrived home to make herself a healthy filling dinner. Salad and garlic bread quite hit the spot, along with a sweet treat after dinner. Miss Holly laid on the couch, figuring she would rest for a 1/2 hour or so and wait for the rain to cease. Then, she could proceed with the real day 1 of her marathon training.
The clock reads 11:30pm. Really? 11:30pm? Holly thinks, as she makes her way up from the couch, realizing after almost 4 hours of sleep, she has indeed slept the night away. What is a girl to do? Go back to bed of course! And go back to bed she did, waking at 6am this morning to the sounds of birds chirping and a very restful body. Gone was the run, the blogging and everything else she had planned. Shucks.
In other words, I will be back later tonight with a FULL recap of yesterday and today’s eats. Sorry everyone – this gal was one tired little aspiring marathon runner! Hope you all had a wonderful, restful night as well, and I look forward to an especially bloggy-filled day today!
Have a wonderful day!
