camera free

by Holly on April 10, 2011

in friends,weekend

I’m eating a large salad right now.

And drinking my 2nd kombucha of the day (it’s becoming an expensive obsession).

However, I have no pictures to show for this meal or any other meal (liquid meals still count as meals, right?) I consumed this weekend, because the only two pictures I took in the past 48 hoursĀ were these ones. Quite frankly, I must admit it was quite liberating to go camera-free this weekend, even during something as important as one of my best friend’s bachelorette parties.

Luckily, I have pretty fantastic camera-wielding friends.

They caught most of the fun for me.

Unluckily, I have pretty fantastic camera-wielding friends.

What happens in Vegas Minnesota, stays in Minnesota.

What did YOU do this weekend? One bachelorette party, a visit to my grandpa’s house, coffee with Angharad and a loooonnnggg drive back to Madison. I need tomorrow not to be Monday.

Don’t forget to enter my first Facebook giveaway – you have until Monday night at 7pm to enter!

Ahaha, friends never fail to document the good and the bad. Glad you had a good camera-free weekend, Missy.

That pic is amazing!
This weekend I went to yoga, went for a run then to lunch that turned into day drinking that turned into 18 holes of gold that turned into a night out with more shots taken than I’m ready to admit followed by two Taco Bell experiences, followed by a huge hangover and five miserable hours of work.
It was awesome.

lol, love the photos! you didn’t need to take any – your friends caught the good stuff. :) i had two kombuchas today too – i’m pretending that that doesn’t = $7+. ugh.

Mama Pea April 10, 2011 at 8:47 pm

Nothing I say is going to sound right, so I won’t say anything.

Except I love you.

Welllll now that I entered the blog world (!!!) you should go over to it and check out the video of I-29 I posted. It’s RIDIC!! I’m sure you’ve heard about flooding that happens in Fargo, ND every year. Well, we drove through it. It was crazy!

Oh and you and your friends are GORGEOUS!

FUNN! I also enjoy leaving my camera at home sometimes…less pressure and more time to enjoy!

Frances April 11, 2011 at 5:15 am

your friends may have captured the moment, but YOU posted it! it looks like you had a blast. awesome. my weekend wasn’t quite so full of dancing, but because it was unseasonably warm (and because i didn’t have to work as much as I’d thought) i got to run and bike a lot.

i hear ya on the why-monday thing. my legs are toast, and i have to bike to work in 15 minutes. ugh.

Katie April 11, 2011 at 6:38 am

FAB picture of you gettin’ down. better than catered food pics for sure. thank you for this wonderful start to my monday. much love, lady.

Sarah (Running To Slow Things Down) April 11, 2011 at 6:58 am

Kombucha is stealing my money. It’s (more than) slightly addicting.

This weekend I went shopping with my besties, ate copious amounts of garbanzo beans, found and purchased three pairs of shorts for under $15 at H&M, and had a cookout with my Pepere. I love random weekends like these. :D

Megan (Braise the Roof) April 11, 2011 at 12:41 pm

Buahaha hair compare! I was also fairly camera-less this weekend. Sometimes it’s just not the time or the place, right? Looks like you had a great time, though! (Oh, and I woke up this morning also thinking “it needs to not be Monday”, too)

jeri April 11, 2011 at 5:03 pm

One of these weekends, the stars will align and we will both be in the cities at the same time. We will go out for lunch and/or drinks and quickly become bloggy bffs. Can’t wait. :p

Baking 'n' Books April 11, 2011 at 7:45 pm

I’m glad you went camera-free! I often wonder how long – sustainable – food blogging can be…when your in the moment and with people and living life…will you (“you” meaning anybody!) really want to be photographing everything.

Meh. Curious.

Love your blog name! Too true :)

Pure2raw twins April 11, 2011 at 9:30 pm
