MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
I hope you are all having a WONDROUS time celebrating the season – I know I am! Mine has been full of playing games (mostly Bananagrams + Scrabble), watching movies (Australia, White Christmas + Footloose), couch potatoing (self-explanatory), snacking (refer to this blog), not showering (no shame), present opening and family enjoying. In other words – good times.
During fun family times like this, I don’t really worrying about photographing everything I eat. So, this is just a mere recap of the shenanigans of the past couple days…
Breakfast yesterday was AH-MAY-ZING (not to toot my own horn or anything). I used Polly’s recipe for Oaty Cakes and made one small substitution – instead of 1 cup Greek yogurt, I used 1/2 cup Greek yog + 1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree.
Pumpkin Oaty Cakes it was…a.k.a. genius.
Slathered with PB + maple syrup…naturally.
This morning, my mom made French Toast with Ezekiel Bread…
Also slathered with PB + maple syrup…naturally.
Then after filling our bellies with some all-organic french toast (Mama Everythingtarian is cool like that), twas’ present opening time under the Christmas tree!
My little sister got a new Nintendo Wii Fit game, and we busted that out shortly thereafter.
While setting up the new Wii Fit Plus, I did a lil’ snackage…
Yes, I ate five clementines. Then followed that up a bit later with an apple sprinkled with cinnamon and dipped in PB. Plus, I think a Blueberry Chobani yog and Kashi Blackberry Graham bar were consumed sometime around lunch as well.
The reason I can’t quite recollect all I ate is because we played Wii for FIVE hours. Haha…yes, FIVE hours. And I can officially call myself the Kung Fu Rhythm Champion! Woooo wooooo!
Isn’t she precious? ;)
While we played, Mama Everythingtarian had a full-on Thanksgiving-esque dinner cooking away in the kitch, complete with turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed red potatoes, corn, garlic bread, green beans and gravy…
Even after some more snacking, I ate this plate clean. No lie.
Then I suffered some stomach pains + indigestion, which I tried to cure with a Diet Coke. Sometimes I surprise myself with my own stupidity.
Luckily, I dominated in several games of Bananagrams and feel much better. Annndddd…I’ve never seen the movie The Hangover, and my dad literally just pressed play. So I am outta here to learn lots of moral lessons stare at Bradley Cooper for two hours…
What was the best part about your holiday? Mine was just hanging out with my family and chillaxin’!
