Chocolate + Cheese

Let’s be clear, nobody needs a reason to eat chocolate + cheese.

They’re like the Khloe and Lamar of reality TV! The vodka and kombucha of “healthy” drinks! The dirty Italian hipster and mullet of Europe! The skinny jeans and ballet flats of fashion! The Twitter and Facebook of social media! The Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Gosling of my dreams!

Metaphors for chocolate + cheese…I can keep going…just say the word.

But if you do need a reason – a very simple yet valid reason to craft a chocolate + cheese plate all your own – then I’ve got the perfect one for you: the daily grind. If it’s one of “those” days where all you want to do is go home, take off your bra and face plant into your bed with a bottle of wine and watch the movie Beaches, then this Everythingtarian-crafted cheese plate is for you.

It’s got my favorite cheese (it’s a Wisconsin Cheese, obvs).

My favorite carb.

My 2nd favorite nut.

My favorite nut butter.

Oh, my dear. Do you realize that a typical breakfast in Colombia is a hot chocolate drink with local cheese and fresh bread? I know it sounds odd but the sum is most certainly greater than its parts. (Yes, I did just switch the expression to plead my case). It is almost as good as nutella toast with cheese and wine. Almost ;)

I discovered the joys of chocolate + cheese in my gastronomy class last fall (aka the best class EVER). Each week, we had a different theme in which we would sample different foods. During cheese week, someone brought a baguette and Nutella…the rest is history.

Two of my favs! In fact, I had wine and cheese for dinner and chocolate for dessert last night. Not really “healthy” but in my defense I had a big lunch. Nutella rocks!

Chocolate and cheese are two of my most favorite foods!! Put them together, and wow you’ve got a masterpiece! The hips on the other hand, don’t really agree with them too much :(

Thanks to you lady….my husband read your post and was inspired. I came home to a cheese (Wisconsin white cheddar cheese with cranberries), bread and chocolate platter the other night! Yummy!

Perfection (seriously!). I’ll eat Nutella on anything…or by itself. I also love love love the Raspberry BellaVitano (Jessie Reilly introduced me to it). Have you tried the Balsamic?

You’re right. No one NEEDS a reason to eat chocolate & cheese. They’re just that freakin’ fantastic.

Add a glass of red wine & I think I’d die (I’m more of a red girl than a white!)
