I could learn to be classy.
I am going to be completely honest with you when I say classiness does not come naturally to me. I spill on myself at every meal. My voice has no volume control, even at funerals. Sometimes I booty dance in the middle of my office to Rihanna’s “Rude Boy.” And yes, I often wear the same outfit two days in a row.
In other words, I am more klassy than classy.
However, if learning to eat properly, talk quietly, stay seated and change my clothes everyday is going to lead to more nights like this, I’m in.
Upon arriving, I was immediately welcomed with the finest of California wine.
Two glasses of Pinot Grigio to be exact.
It’s a good thing I wasn’t alone in my wine drinking, otherwise I may have started to feel like a bit of a lush this weekend.
Luckily, Foodbuzz was gracious enough to provide appetizers so my rapid consumption of alcohol did not happen on an empty stomach, because that’s NEVER a good idea.
Yes, I speak from experience.
There were polenta with goat cheese bites (above) as well as roast beef-wrapped scallions (below), both of which were the perfect antidote to dinner…
I kept it classy with one of each.
Finally, it was time for the grand gala meal…
Excitement brewed in the veins of food bloggers throughout the room.
Taking our seats before the gorgeously set tables, I noticed there was not one, not two, but FOUR wine glasses in front of me. It was then I knew I was in for a good dinner.
I don’t even know if I could pick a favorite, but I can feel you readers pressuring me to make a decision, so here it is: the scallops, and the wine that came along with it.
Perfectly cooked. Perfectly paired. Perfectly delicious in my stomach.
And if you ever wondered what us bloggers look like when taking pictures of our food, this is it…
We take our work very seriously.
But we enjoy it, so it’s all good.
If you need further proof on exactly how much we enjoy food blogging and the perks that come along with it, take a look at this picture:
Does it get any better than gnawing on a rack of lamb at a food festival in San Francisco?
I think not.
So, maybe I didn’t keep it as classy as I thought I did Saturday night…
But at least I stayed seated, AND I wore clean clothes.
