Sometimes the only way to arrive is to do it in true diva style.
One white stretch limo, a fantastically happy limo driver named Sia and six food bloggers later, we had ourselves one stylin’ trip into the city of San Francisco.
Don’t let me forget to e-mail Sia this photo, upon his request.
While I waited for my faboosh food blogging companions outside the SFO airport terminal, I munched on a Yummy Earth sucker, which did nothing to quell my insane, beast-like hunger but still tasted good nonetheless.
First things first, we got registered for the Foodbuzz Fest and picked up our swag bags.
As soon as we registered, our weary traveling souls needed one thing: FOOD.
We are FOOD bloggers after all, no?
The cutest lady on the street recommended Mocca to us, which is on a random side alley off of Union Square, and it was pretty much the cutest thing ever. There was lots of cute going on yesterday afternoon.
After perusing the cafe-like menu, I decided on the vegetable sandwich, which I filled with roasted tomatoes and grilled zucchini, topped with fresh mozzarella and stuffed into a yummy baguette.
Topped off with a glass of malbec and finished off with a swarm of pigeons attacking our food, it was a fantastic first meal in San Francisco.
Next stop, check-in!
Somehow, I got lucky enough to room with four fabulous ladies…
Trust me, they were all just as fun, nice and genuine as they seem on their blogs. Is it weird that I feel like I was reuniting with old friends instead of just having met these ladies (sans Susan) for the first time yesterday?
I think not.
We got ready and headed off to the Foodbuzz Festival cocktail party, which was held at the Fort Mason Center right on the water and near the Golden Gate Bridge.
Can you say picturesque?
I heart San Francisco.
We entered the Fort Mason Center and readied to cocktail it up…
While I was excited to meet all the bloggers that attended, I do have to admit I have a special place in my heart for Mama Pea. When I saw her in the flesh, I immediately made a beeline for my fave vegan mommy with red wine in hand.
It’s kind of how we do.
Then, it was FINALLY time for FOOD!
Lots of food.
Lots of good food.
Seriously, everything was so dayum delicious. Cupcakes, red wine, pear tarts, cheese platters, beer, vegan tacos, pork belly sandwiches, fried potatoes and much more, I can’t even recall everything I ate because I ate a lot. And apparently, my focus was on eating and not on taking pictures that aren’t fuzzy.
A couple of dranks down, we met up with Elise’s sister and things got a lil’ messy…
