Lately, I’ve talked a bit about foods I really just don’t like.
Olives, mushrooms, grapefruit + cantaloupe? Sure, feed them to me if you want me to bang on the table in a three-year-old toddler’s act of defiance and refuse to eat (and perhaps scream) until palatable food is put before me.
Coconut? This one is a bit trickier.
I want to like coconut. Coconut butter, coconut milk, coconut oil, coconut peanut butter, coconut cupcakes, coconut on oatmeal, pina coladas…I DID like coconut. It seems as though after five or so good years of living in coconut lover’s paradise, my tastebuds seem to have reverted back to their childhood ways: coconut is officially still making me gag.
It’s a travesty, I know.
It’s almost as sad as finding a renegade gray hair on the crown of my head this week and getting paid yesterday, only to have 1/2 my paycheck gone in a matter of four bills.
However, while I will be working on making my apartment a coconut-free zone this weekend (and scouring my hairline for grays), you, my friends, have the chance to enhance your lives with the chance to win a free jar of Tropical Traditions coconut peanut butter!
My point? People LOVE this stuff.
Here’s what you must do for the chance to win:
- Leave a comment telling me one food you wish you liked (my answer: coconut).
- You can submit an additional entry by subscribing to Tropical Traditions newsletter, which sends out free weekly product specials, recipes and more, and leaving a 2nd comment letting me know you did so.
Contest ends Monday night when I blog and announce the winner.
Just promise me if you win, I live (and eat coconut) vicariously through you.
