I know I don’t need to apologize but here I go anyways. Because I am the product of my genial, play-nice Midwestern upbringing after all, and it’s what we do.
Life is crazy good right now.
I’m doing my freelance writing thang. And making good progress!
I am also loving the whole graphic design thang too. Lately, I’ve designed Katie’s header and coded Brooke’s new blog and am working with various other bloggers on stuff in the works. It all feeds this deep, visceral need of mine to create and find beauty in the world. I’m still such a beginner (read: I need not be so hard on myself) but SO excited to see where things go.
I’m doing a bunch of travel in the next couple months too. Travel is perhaps my ultimate love, so when I get to indulge my unending curiosity of the world, the very deepest part of me is satisfied. Minnesota, Door County, Boston, New York City and hopefully, Argentina.

And this upcoming Monday morning, I’m making new TV friends in Minneapolis! If you’re in the Twin Cities area, tune into KARE11’s midday show at 11:30am for some no-bake recipes.
All this means I’ve been needing to rediscover balance in my life.
Ya know, that thing that people always talk about but seriously, who ever actually finds balance? It’s like the cream that will supposedly get rid of the bags under my eyes. People tell me to try this and try that…and yet the bags remain. Meanwhile, I’m eating bagels + cream cheese for breakfast and throwing back New Glarus brews and skipping workouts, which no doubt contributes to the bags situation. So yeah, some balance would be nice. For my sanity and my eyes.
I am also working on The Healthy Everythingtarian 2.0. New look, new vision, same obsessions with Jake Gyllenhaal, Anthropologie + sparkling water.
So bear with me and drink a bubbly herbal spritzer (vodka, optional).
Let’s cheers to finding an undereye cream that actually works!
