Happy {belated} St. Patty’s Day!

in friends,holidays

My friends and I celebrated with pitchers of green beer, Mexican food and a long discussion about the tragic love of Meggie and Ralph in The Thornbirds.

How did YOU celebrate?

I celebrated with my pillow. It was glorious!

Andrea@WellnessNotes March 18, 2011 at 8:38 am

No celebrating here, but I’m glad you had fun! :)

Erica March 18, 2011 at 8:40 am

Glad you had a fun night!
OOOO big night for me, I went to parent teacher conferences ;) Man, how times have changed!!!

Christine (The Raw Project) March 18, 2011 at 1:04 pm

Sounds like a fun night. I celebrated with a quiet dinner at home. :-)

We watched the Bucky game and had irish snacks…my friend made AMAZING guiness chocolate cupcakes + whiskey ganache + bailey’s buttercream frosting. ridiculous.

Gillian March 18, 2011 at 2:49 pm

Wine, Asian fusion food and an Irishman. We figured we’re both Irish enough that we could bend the tradition.

Susan (Oliepants) March 18, 2011 at 2:58 pm

I think I did the opposite of what anyone does on St. Patty’s day – I worked until midnight. If I only had a glass of green beer!

I rode my bike to work at 6 30am, worked that job for four hours, and then got to enjoy the sunshine and uncommonly warm weather until my other job at 6pm. it was a great day- moderate amounts of work, and lots and lots of biking and food.

Jess March 18, 2011 at 8:28 pm

I celebrated with..nothing. Ahaha. Fail!

Erica D @ Gratitouille March 18, 2011 at 11:41 pm

I went to a gay nightclub in Denver with my rugby teammates! I wanted a green drink but I was too busy watching the drag queens…

Sarah (Running To Slow Things Down) March 19, 2011 at 6:15 am

Fun, fun, FUN! :D

I celebrated with homework..haha. I had a presentation due early the next day, so it was completely necessary. Next year, however? Next year I will be finished with school, and the celebration will make up for two years. :D

My mom loved that movie so much that my name is Megan and she and my family call me Meggie from the movie! To this day, 24 years later… I still have NEVER seen The Thornbirds!

chelsey @ clean eating chelsey March 20, 2011 at 7:28 pm

I ate mexican food.

Megan (Braise the Roof) March 23, 2011 at 2:36 pm
