Ho Hum Humpday

Whew…another long day has come and gone!  Good thing I started out with a hearty bowl of KERF-style oats to keep me going all morning.  Today’s mix contained:

1/3 cup rolled oats
1 tbsp. oat bran
water
1 sliced banana
2 tbsp. unsweetened shredded coconut
5 Go Raw “Pumpkin Super Chips” crumbled
drizzle of honey
1 heaping tbsp. TJ’s almond butter

Along with a nice cuppa joe with skim milk (not pictured), this held me over quite well until I took an early lunch around 11am.  Although it is going to look very similar to the past couple days, I swear it’s the last day for Garbanzo Guac sandwiches for awhile!  Paired with a couple organic carrots (soooo much better than baby carrots!) and some True North almond crunchy bites (from my lunchtime run to Tarjay!) for dessert, it was uber-delish!

(Serving size alert!  Read those labels – 5 of these little suckers are 170 calories!  Thank goodness they are all natural and taste good, otherwise we would have a problem on our hands!)

For some reason, I was just not satisfied all day.  Something was missing.  So I ate my snack hoping that would do the trick.  Today, a Cashew Cookie Larabar (good, but definitely not my fave) with a crunchy Braeburn apple.

Like I said, for some reason, I just wasn’t satisfied.  Since I knew I was going to be going on a 6-mile run with one of my favorite people in the world right after work, I munched on some pretzels and a Diet Cherry Coke before I left work to meet Charlotte.  I broke down!  I HAD to have the DCC!

This definitely hit the pre-run spot!  After work, I ventured to meet Charlotte to go running.  Even though it was drizzling out, we braved the rain for an AWESOME run around St. Paul.  It was so refreshing – I swear!  We came home to her 85-lb. lapdog Otto (yes, 85 lb.), ordered delivery and watched America’s Next Top Model (go Celia!) and LOST (I love you Jack!).

We ordered from Pizza Luce (a yummy vegan-friendly pizza eatery): spinach salad with cranberries, feta and pecans as well as veggie pizza.  We split the salad, then I had about 4 small slices of the pizza.   Charlotte and I decided it was practically the perfect night – run, food and some good TV!  Unfortunately, I don’t have a beauty shot of the eats because we were so starving after the 6 miles, we downed that food like no one’s business.

Have a good night, and see you all tomorrow!
