Seriously dudes, it was a week of fails. Cupcake fails. Yoga fails. Work fails. Attitude fails. However, when you’ve run into one too many fails, there is no place to go but back down the road of success. And I am starting today, ya heard?
After getting massive amounts of sleep sick yesterday (ahem, 12 hours+), I decided I felt good enough this morning for a run. So, I headed out on a slow + steady 3 mile jog along the lake and came back feeling good.
Yes, a good run was exactly what the doctor ordered. That and a delicious yog mess, for good measure.
1/2 cup nonfat Greek yog
1 small naner
1 tbsp. raspberry jelly
1 tbsp. almond buttah
1 tbsp. ground flax
This smaller than average brekkie obv necessitated an early mid-morning snack…
Then I caught up on work, resisted the mondo urge to read blogs + downed 2 cuppa joes with skim milk.
I actually brought my lunch, but the fact two co-workers were going to my favorite lil’ cafe…well, I couldn’t resist another junk salad + Sun Bun. All hail the Sun Bun!
I just found out I liked banana peppers after snubbing my nose at them one too many times in Subway. My apologies you brightly-colored pepper with a kick. I love you after all.
But not as much as I love Peanut Butter M&Ms…don’t mess with a girl and her peanut butter chocolate delights.
At 4pm, I skedaddled from the FT (full-time) yob to the PT (part-time) yob.
You see, yes I am kinda crazy for making goal lists while sick in bed, having two jobs at once (three if you count freelance writing on the side) and overcommitting myself to too many things. I cannot complain however. I bring it upon myself. I find I thrive on being busy. Maybe it helps me forget about my lack of a love life or the fact I am really poor…hmmm, just a thought…
Mid-shift, I crawled to the back stock room and downed this Tupperware of goodness…
That would be some mixed veggies + BBQ tofu + brown rice.
I also got paid today, which makes overcommitting yourself easier when you see the dolla dolla bills in your bank account. Random afterthought.
Now, I am at home, sipping on apple cinnamon tea and rejoicing the fact I don’t have to work at all tomorrow. Shopping? Perhaps. Sleeping in? You bet. Getting my last yoga + cardio sesh checked off for the week? You know it!
