That would be today’s date.

Could somebody please tell me where the time has gone? Because I am pretty sure I have now been at my job and living in Madison for almost 7 months.  February was but a fleeting memory and well January, did that month even happen?  And does anybody else find time flying by faster as they get older?  I swear I’m not paranoid.  I guess that means we gotta live it up, soak in every minute detail and eat lots of chocolate while we still can.

Can I get an AMEN?


Speaking of chocolate…you will be seeing a lot of it in this post.  But not at breakfast.  Instead, I whipped up a lovely Breakfast Sammie with an Ezekiel English muffin, Sunshine Breakfast patty + 1 egg.

Could a perfectly runny egg be the 8th wonder of the world?  I think so.

During work, I lived life to the fullest today by falling off my chair, accidentally cutting my thumb with scissors, buying stamps during my lunch break and wearing my fave flower hairpin.  You don’t have to tell me – I know I live dangerously.

My snack reminded me of France, which I actually hated when I traveled there.  It downpoured for four straight days.  And it was the last stop on my European trip, so I was uber-poor.  However, apples + cheese were really cheap, so I ate them.  A lot of them. Usually with a side of baguette + Nutella.

And when I heard my tummy grumble a couple hours later, it was time for the return of….THE YOG MESS!

My dearest yog mess – how I have missed thee! This beautiful concoction consisted of: Fage 2% Greek yog, 1/2 sliced naner, EnviroKidz Peanut Butter Panda Puffs + honey almond butter.

After lunch, I couldn’t resist the call of the wild candy: York Peppermint Patties.

Multiplied by 3…and quite frankly, I am surprised I could stop myself there. Throughout the afternoon, I munched on carrots + handful of raisins.  Nothing exciting.

At 4:30pm, I bebopped to salsa class…where I found out we are going to take a class trip to a real salsa club to get our ballroom on on Thursday night!  And no worries – Doug, in all his double artificial hip glory, WILL be there.

When I got home, I made a lovely vegan dinner…

That would be…two heads roasted broccoli, 1 cup spaghetti sauce + 1 Gardein marinara faux-chicken breast.  As far as this Gardein product is concerned, I really liked it – minus the filling.  I don’t know if it was the spices or vegan cheese, but I did not like the inside.  Otherwise, the “meat” was delish!

I figured after all the sweets + candy of the past week, I needed some clean eating love. Check and check.

And now I am eating truffle chocolate like its my job.  I mean, who knows how many days I have left on this planet?  Just in case it’s sooner than I think, I should probably go eat some more…

The fact that the peppermint patty was shaped like an out of date holiday means you needed to eat more of it–duh

I hated France too!!!! But I was in high school and this pretentious kid got drunk and barfed on the dinner table. The rest is kinda a blur.

lovin your yog mess as i have one every morning. a girl can never have too many ;)

Mmm runny eggs…I’m having such an ethical/moral dilemma with all my egg consumption lately. Alas, those runny yolks are delicious. What to do, what to do.

Apple+ cheese+ baguette + Nutella and maybe + wine is all I’d need to be happy, food-wise. I am not even kidding.

Time is FLYING! I have one week of classes left, then exams, then spring break and then my FINAL quarter at Ohio University. Oh man, that’s so crazy to type.

Mmmmm, LOVE all ezekiel bread products. The english muffins are so delicious and hearty.

I’ve also been enjoying my fair share of gardein products lately – the faux chicken tenders are so “chicken-like” I can hardly believe it.

p.s. I agree – life is short. We must eat candy while we can!!

That breakfast sandwich started my day off right…just reading about it. If perfectly runny eggs are the 8th wonder of the world, then chocolate is most certainly the 9th.

I wish the days would slow down! I’d like someone to invent some sort of machine that would put more hours in the day but I think that’s a lost cause.

I saw these faux chicken thingys at the grocery store last night and wondered about them. Thanks for trying them for me. :-) I can’t wait to hear how your salsa class goes at the club…I have this picture of Doug in my head and I hope it’s half as good as he is in real life. oh, peppermint patties. you should put a bag of them in your freezer. They’re SO good cold! And keeping them in there makes me eat them slower :)

Seriously… time flies! It bothers me, but at the same time I’ll be happy for summer to arrive. I’ve still got to figure out how to live up every moment until that time though. If eating chocolate is the way to go, I’m in :)

The winter months are kind of going by slowly for me. I am very happy to see March. I crave breakfast sandwiches now! I may have to run to the nearest hippie store and grab me some Sunshine patties!

seriously, I felt like it was new years eve yesterday and now its march 3rd?!?! im not complaining though we are SO close to summer!!

the gardein products, I had the santa fe chicken breast on monday night it was pretty good! but I felt like I could eat like 3 of them…for some reason they went down really quick and I wasnt totally full after just one! but it was quite tasty!

I just got a sample package from Quorn. Have you tried that one yet? I don’t think it’s vegan, but it is meatless! :-)
I think I have ONE Lindtt Lindor truffle left. So sad.

Your breakfast sammie looks yummy! And so does the yog mess–you know I got the love. And shooo I wanna try those “gardein” products. I’ve been seeming them everywhere and you know I love the faux meats!
And that apple looks way more delicious than the oh so NOT organic one i’m chomping on right now. Its green. It tastes dirty (?!), even though I washed it….but i’ll still eat it to the core! YOU KNOW!!!

Wow… I don’t like eggs but that breakfast sounds like an awesome combo. Those Ezekiel English muffins–man! My dad is in town and got a loaf of Ezekiel bread and I “borrowed” a slice mwahaha. Sooo good with mashed avocado + cottage cheese + and nutritional yeast. It’s funny because now I’m leaning more towards savory foods. Actually, my favorites are dishes that incorporate everything. Today I made this amazing chili that I just got done eating: Star Anise & Cinnamon Black Bean Chili with Molasses & Chipotle and I added sweet potato and liquid smoke. YUM!!! Seriously such a great combination of different flavors. I had a delicious yog-mess yesterday :D I am switching back to Greek yogurt again.. it’s just so much more refreshing.

I didn’t like France either!! Mind you, I was just in the north, Versailles and Paris. But it was “meh” compared to the few other European countries I’ve been too (Luxembourg on the other hand was one of my favourites!!)

You are indeed correct, a runny egg yolk is perfection defined. Especially when paired with a hot carb ;)
