You’re the longest and best relationship I’ve ever had, so it’s only right I get something off my double-AA chest that I’ve been feeling a bit guilty about.
Sorry I’m not the least bit sorry for neglecting you in March.
It’s nothing personal…I swear! It’s just that between school and work and family and friends and marathon training and a boy toy and the unseasonably warm weather here in Wisconsin, you’ve ratcheted down the priority list as of late. A Doomtree concert…bootcamp classes…that pesky kidney infection…the 24-hour flu bug…bike riding…grill-outs…tot consuming…a weekend at home in Minnesota…these things overshadowed you this month.
Like any good relationship however, I think it’s actually benefitted both of us to have some time apart from one another.
Time to find balance.
Time to eat out at a lot of good restaurants and not cook much.
Time to get inspired.
Time to rejuvenate the food blogging batteries.
And that’s exactly what this month did for me! While I missed your stinking cute face, I find myself oozing with ideas and updates and blog posts and inspiration for the month to come.
So, let’s put this past month behind us and call a truce?
I’ll even throw in a peek at the double-AA goods…and I’m not talking batteries.
