One Last Confession

Looks like we all had a lot to confess yesterday.

Doesn’t it feel good to get things like that off your chest?  I mean, let’s be real: many of us wear jeans multiple times before washing them, drool in our sleep and eat chocolate for meals.  Looks like almost all of us have flossing troubles and don’t wash our veggies.  I feel lighter already!

This breakfast however, was not light.  It was hearty and filling…exactly how I like my breakfasts and my men.

1/2 cup oats
1 cup organic skim milk
pinch salt
1/3 cup pumpkin
cinnamon, nutmeg + ginger
drizzle of pure maple syrup
spoonful Bee’s Knees PB



I am joking about the men thing…well, kinda.

Morning snackage was plain ol’ dry cereal of the Kashi Heart2Heart variety.  Dry cereal is really the perfect food to pop in your mouth as you are hum drumming your day away working for the man.


Today, I brought Moroccan Vegetable Stew for the whole office (read: 3 people, not including me).


Eaten with several pretzel rods (this x3), which tasted amazing alongside a Diet Coke.

One last confession: I think I am addicted to the DC again.  Damn you aspartame!

Afternoon snackage was fruitful.  I almost added delightful, but unfortunately, I did not feel that way about the Apple Banana Go Go Squeez. It’s not because it tasted bad, but I am uber-picky about banana things. I am NOT a fan of overly banana-y flavorings. Did any of that even make sense?


The Healthy Everythingtarian’s Final Rating of Materne’s Go Go Squeez Applesauce

(1) Apple Strawberry
(2) Apple Cinnamon
(3) Apple Peach
(4) Apple Apple
(5) Apple Banana

And that’s how the cookie applesauce crumbles.

After work, I went to a glorious 75-minute Power Yoga class with the touchy-feely creeper teacher.  It’s really too bad he comes off that way because I j’adore his class.  Revolved triangles, loads of vinyasa flows and crane poses from yoga headstands.  Loves it.

Dinner was quick and easy, because I was starving.  Not even the horrid post-yoga stench could deter me from eating immediately as I got in the door.

3/4 cup homemade Greek yog
1 small sliced naner
handful Kashi Heart2Heart
spoonful Dark Chocolate Dreams PB
sprinkle of Apple Pie Spice


Props to all of you who have followed Nellie’s tutorial on how to make Greek yog – you know I am talking to you Tay + Angharad!  If I missed your name, let me know!

Plus leftover acorn squash from yesterday drizzled with maple syrup + more apple pie spice.


Now I am drinking pumpkin spice tea and ready to get productive.  However, I will NOT be up until 11:30pm like I was last night. Not okay for g-mas.  I will be taking a bath, crawling in my jammies and workin’ some thangs out.

What fruit flavors are you not a fan of? Like I said above, banana is a touchy one for me.  Also, I do NOT enjoy artificial watermelon flavorings.  Gross.

If your jeans still fit are you supposed to wash them?
How do you get all your protein in. DO you think protein is important?
I am having the pumpkin oatmeal tomorrow! Yummy looking.
I love watermelon Jolly Rangers, lol.
I do not like pinacolda flavoring, I feel like I am eating suntan lotion.

pooks you’ve gotta try Zevia — zippo aspartame and mucho better than DC in my humble opinion.

I’m recently readdicted too :(

PS. I try to pretend that mouth-wash replaces flossing. It doesn’t though. I have cavities :(

Also – zevia is not very good, in my opinion. Bobby thinks is gross too. I can never finish the can and that NEVER happens to me.

Papaya kind of tastes like vomit to me. Sorry, I know that’s gross to say!
