Even though I like to think I express myself best through words, some things can only be expressed through the straight-shootin’ lens of a camera.
While I could probably go on and on about this frustrating, crazy and fun week, the picture says it all. That and the fact that I didn’t succeed in my Lent resolution to stop biting my nails or forgo drinking ever again, which I am pretty sure I told myself after Sunday’s hangover.
Just like Shakira’s hips, pictures don’t lie.
Whether it is PB+B toast on Ezekiel sprouted bread (and sprinkled with cinnamon)…
…or a hummus + avocado sandwich with raw carrots…
…you can’t deny the power of the picture.
Because trust me, if I could, I would choose to completely forget some of the dumb silly things I’ve done all in the name of a good laugh.
There are not enough letters in the alphabet or words in the Modern English dictionary to begin to explain what is going on in the above picture.

And of course, my new discovery…KOMBUCHA!
However, despite the fact I guzzled down the bacteria + yeast on Wednesday, the picture of this bottle of Gingerberry kombucha is slightly deceiving…
While the kombucha at The Green Owl was light and fruity, this I have to say was a bit…vinegar-y? Although, with every sip, it does get a lil’ better. Perhaps it’s an acquired taste – much like beer or tea?
Dessert was 100% of the fruit variety…
Gena’s Banana Soft Serve with a 1/2 cup of frozen raspberries thrown in. The regular soft serve was a bit banana-y for me. Adding the raspberries made it berry-frickin’-licious.
And yes, it was as tasty as the picture makes it look.
Off to spend the night in bed with the new Glee episode, Brick Lane, Secretary (starring my future sister-in-law) and my new Women’s Health magazine. And that is a picture I fully intend to keep to myself, for I don’t think I need the free world to see that truth all over the World Wide Web.
