Red Red Wine

…you make me feel so fine.  You keep me rockin’, all of da time.

Ub40, anybody?

Not going to lie, I may have perhaps just slightly have drank too much red wine at dinner. Mmmm…red red wine you give me whole heap of zing, whole heap of zing make me do my own thing.  Oops…more on that in a bit…

1/3 cup oat bran
1 (4-oz) container YoBaby peach yogurt
2 tbsp. unsweetened shredded coconut
1/3 cup skim milk

~ soaked overnight ~

1/2 cup strawbs
1 heaping tbsp. raw almond butter

Thank you Snackface :).

So dudes, my tumtum has been in absolutely rollercoaster butterfly fluttering mode all day.  I’ve been waiting to hear back from another job and wait which job to take.  This gal is rarely ever NOT HUNGRY and all day food did not sound good. Suriously dudes, this is a rarity.  I literally had to force this down…

organic rasps. yes, i ate the whole thing.

Ummm…I’m watching the post-Bachelorette show, and can I date Reid please?  Soooo cute.  Okay, rando side note.  Did anyone see the lady hysterically crying in the audience when they re-played Jillian & Ed’s engagement? HILAR.

Also, sorry to anybody who may have had the Bach ending spoiled by my big mouth!  I promise a warning next time I give out spoilers on the blog!

After lunch, I got the job answer I had been waiting for!  I decided to take the job offer I got this last week!  Woowoo!  The only slightly sad part is that the job is back in Madison, Wisc. (my ol’ college stompin’ grounds), which means I have to leave Minnesota, which is so sad.  I have to leave new friends, like my fabulous new bloggy bud Angharad as well as my besties and family.  However, I am firm believer that everything happens for a reason – so I look forward to seeing what the future holds!

Suddenly, after I had made the decision, I was hungry again (haha!), hence this lovely…

After work (in which I could not concentrate the rest of the day – my mind was swinging from limb to limb thinking of the bajillion things I need to do), I ran home quickly then met my friend Brad for dinner.  He’s leaving in two days for Michigan (hollllaaaa Miss K!) for grad school, so we had one last get together at Azia Restaurant, a delicious restaurant which prides itself on “Asian spice meets Minnesota nice,” love it!

Brad = suriously one of the funniest peeps ever.  Hence why, two hours later I found myself laughing hysterically, tearing up in laughter and definitely drunkity drunk drunk drunk on red wine.  He also pointed out that yesterday, I accidentally wrote I was meeting up with people from my, pubic relations internship” instead of what it should have been – “public relations internship.”  Just a slight difference between the two – he referred to it as a “hairy” situation ;).

After dindin, I may just have had a couple spoonfuls of vanilla ice cream to seal the deal for the night.

Now, I am feeling excited, overwhelmed and nervous for all the changes ahead.  I start my new job August 10th – eeeeeekkkk, that’s like less than a couple weeks!  So much to do, so little time.  I didn’t run 3 miles today like planned – I figured another day off to celebrate wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world :).

Gotta runsky, but I hope y’all had a fab day!

What’s your fave 80’s tune?  Red Red Wine most def ranks high on the list!

99 luftballoons by nena might be mine :)

I’m so excited for you Holly! I’m working on that little project for you. Wow! Life can change so much in one day, can’t it? Glad to see your adding coconut back into your life! I think my head must be really a coconut because I have it everday whether it’s shredded, water, milk, or oil. Actually, as I’m typing this.. I have coconut oil on my hair LOL. Yeah, just laughed at myself.

AAANYWAY, I could go on forever just rambling. I just want to share that today I went on a run for the first time in forever. Since I had to quit training for the half-marathon last october, my running had to stop all together. I would enviously watch other runners and I wanted so badly to just lace up my shoes and do it. But now I finally got the okay to run every once in awhile. Last time I ran I made it something special.. it was in the rain and I loved it. Today, I ran with so much happiness, energy, and life. I seriously thought I must’ve been bouncing instead.

Okay okay I’m really going to finish typing this response. I just get carried away! Take care, beautiful one.

And of course the PB&E ;)

Abby July 29, 2009 at 7:31 am

Congrats! A new adventure!
And I can think of no better way to celebrate than PB &E…except maybe the wine.

ksgoodeats July 29, 2009 at 7:33 am

Love that song but don’t love red wine that much – I’m a white girl, what can I say?! I have way too many 80s tunes. I have a whole playlist of 80s jams from Girls Just Wanna Have Fun to Video Killed the Radio Star to Every Rose Has It’s Thorn ;)

I feel ya on the tummy craze! Normally, I’m ALWAYS hungry but the past two days it’s been a fight to get food in. Pubic relations – HAHA!!!! Congrats on the job offer, girl!! You’re right, everything happens for a reason – this new chapter will be great for you!

Whit July 29, 2009 at 7:45 am

Angharad July 29, 2009 at 8:57 am

AAAAARRRGGGHHH! Congrats again treacle, on the awesome job that’s going to bring great experiences, a million opportunities and plenty of chances to host me on your couch in Madison. Haha.

Seriously though, really pleased for you and I think you defo made the right decision. I am however SUPER sad that you’re leaving! As I told Dan, “We’re just about to hit our third date and she’s dumping me for Wisconsin”….I’m sad but let’s hang out when you’re back.

I am however REALLY happy that you’re blogging after too much red wine – is blogging tipsy not the most fun thing ever?! The words just flow…haha. And very excited for too much wine this saturday. Whoop whoop!

Also, despite lack of appetite (cannot eat when nervous either) your breakfast is the prettiest thing ever, that salad looks amazing and Pho sounds incredible to the max! x

Angharad July 29, 2009 at 8:58 am

Oh and eighties jams are my number one favorite thing in the world and picking one would be ridiculous. You’re invited to an eighties dance party at our place soon. x

runnerskitchen July 29, 2009 at 10:11 am

The song Jesse’s Girl is definitely one of my favs, but obviously you can’t go wrong when it comes to 80’s music. Your oat bran breakfasts always look so pretty! Most of my brekkie photos are taken at my desk, under flourescent lighting, when my co-workers aren’t looking, hehe.

lowandbhold July 29, 2009 at 10:12 am

Many many congrats!! I can’t wait to hear about all your new adventures.

Nothing wrong with a little Wine to celebrate!

Reid is so adorb! I also have a personal fondness for the name Reid, so he’s all good in my book. Except for the awkward proposal, but whatevs.

Erica July 29, 2009 at 10:17 am

Your bfast looks beautiful, as do those raspberries (mmmm)! Congrats on the new job!!! You must be super excited. I agree- everything happens for a reason and I bet you will be super happy.

Karena July 29, 2009 at 10:19 am

Congrats on the job AND move! I’m sure everything will work out well :) Just think of all the fun new adventures and friends you’ll encounter!

My guilty 80’s running pleasure – Footloose. Yes. I’ve been known to play it multiple times on a treadmill. BAH!

justine July 29, 2009 at 10:27 am

Mega congrats on the job!! Man I would have been a nervous wreck as well. Glad you got the news you wanted and it sounded like the perfect relaxing ending to a stress filled day :).

Aaah! Now that song is stuck in my head!!! :D I love the Bob Marley version and one summer, my cousin and I played that entire song over and over at our “weekend restaurant”. We tried making money by serving lunch and dinner at our grandma’s place for a weekend. Customers were friends and relatives. Hahaha. Thanks for making me remember such fun times.

Congratulations on the new job! You ROCK! :D
