Because I just drove 2 1/2 hours in the rain, and there is too much good food to be had. Plus, when yours truly isn’t in a talkative, rambling mood, you must take advantage. It doesn’t happen very often.
Starting with a lovely breakfast yog mess…
1/2 cup Plain Chobani Greek yogurt
1/2 cup strawberries
1/4 cup Raspberry Galaxy Granola
1/2 tbsp. sunflower seed butter
And yes, after I took the picture, I definitely messed it up.
Since my boss is a gem, she insisted that my co-workers and I take a 1/2 day of work for Good Friday. I didn’t argue. I got in at 9am and left at 11am. Glorious.
Pre-yoga fueling included the last of my VeggieGirl-inspired blondies with sunflower seed buttah…
Then, I walked 1 mile to the gym, did a fabulous 60-minute Hatha Yoga class and walked 1 mile home. Twas’ so lovely being able to saunter in 70 degree weather in shorts + tank top.
2 tbsp. vanilla brown rice protein powder
1 tbsp. peanut butter
2 tbsp. water
drizzle of maple syrup
1 square dark chocolate, crumbled
sprinkle of shredded coconut
3 walnuts, crumbled
1 tsp. cocoa powder
I love my creepy cat mug. Thanks be to my Thai laundry lady for having a crush on me and giving me this (along with some killer laundry discounts) for Valentine’s Day when I was teaching English in Thailand, proclaiming my, “…face is pretty like the sun.”
I don’t lie.
But seriously, how much does this look like real cookie dough?
I showered, cleaned my apartment, packed up my car and ate an early Grandma dinner…
That would be a spinach + onion scramble, of which I simply sauteed 1/4 diced onion and 3 cups of spinach in EVOO + garlic. Then cracked two eggs, mixed it all up, sprinkled it with salt + crushed red pepper and devoured. To round it out, I chopped up 1 whole orange bell pepper + strawberries.
Then, I bit the bullet and handed over a lot of money to get this done…
Gosh, aren’t I such a natural beauty? Seriously, that is one pretty lion’s mane head of hair.
You shall see the faboosh hair results in my next post. However, until then, you can enjoy the picture of my sushi + Lara love from Whole Foods (conveniently located next to my salon) as well as the coffee I grabbed before I hit the road jack.
Two and a half hours of straining my lungs singing to Joseph + the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Amy Winehouse, Spoon and Jersey Boys later, I have arrived at la casa de Mama y Papa Everythingtarian.
Get ready kids, it’s shaping up to be a good weekend.
