The Healthy Everythingtarian Lives On

Welcome to the new site!  Can ya dig it?

I’ve been bashing heads pleasantly working with technology to get this new site up and running, and the day has finally arrived!  However, before I say anything else, I need to give a HUGE shoutout to Matt from No Meat Athlete and Kristin from Iowa Girl Eats for all their help in doing so.

This morning, I lounged at the coffee shop for three hours working out some of the kinks.  Mind you, there are still lots of formatting thangs, additions I need to make and work I need to do, but I couldn’t wait any longer to show it to you all!

When I got home from hangin’ with joe (the coffee, that is), I made a snack plate o’ love…

1 Ezekiel pita
TJ’s triple layer hummus
red plums
1 heaping tbsp. raw AB
dried apples
cottage cheese

After eating, I cleaned the flat, applied the 8th coat of white paint onto the bathroom mirror trim (yep, it’s still turquoise!), vacuumed out my car and was all-around uber-productive.  I LOVE crossing things off the to-do list.

Mid-afternoon, I got hangry.  Enter in reliable AB+J sammie on sprouted spelt bread along with a camera shy banana.

Gosh, I wish had something really exciting to write here.  I did go on a 4-mile walk, which not only loosened up me legs after the 18 miles of yore but made me want to go shopping more than ever before. *sigh*

Dinner! Dinner was exciting!

bed of mixed greens
2 roma tomatoes
1/4 orange pepper
1/2 cup garbanzos
sprinkle o’ sunflower seeds
hunks o’ parm cheese
Newman’s Light Honey Mustard

But dessert is always best, no?

That would be a Vegan Tropical Breakfast Bar.

Half the bunch sans nuts (for an allergic co-worker) and the other half with nuts, for the nutsos like me.

Alright kiddos, I’ve got lots more work to do on the new site so this gal is rollin’ out.  However, thank you for checking it out and a couple housekeeping items before y’all skedaddle…

(1) If you have a blog and are NOT yet on the blogroll, please leave a comment with that link so I can get all of you lovelies added.  Gracias.

(2) If you notice anything funky/wonky/wrong with the new site, please let me know.  It would be much appreciated.

And finally…highlight of your weekend.  Go.  Mine was kicking 18 miles’s arse then heading out for some dancing!

Hey! Loving the new website. :D It’s clean and simple, but pretty at the same time! The only problem that I can see as of now is that the reply entry fields are a little off. Like the area where it says “Name” and “Email Address” are placed weird. It can get confusing. Other than that, great job! Ooh, the highlight of my weekend was probably visiting three brand new grocery stores back to back on Saturday. Sad, I know, but completely my kind of day! Maybe all food bloggers are like me.

Love the clean and lean look you’ve got going on, although the names and comments are kind of small and hard to read.
I would love to redo my layout, but I have no idea how, so big props.

If you want to add me to the roll-o-blog, I would be honored!

And I didn’t say it before, but how sheet on 18 miles!

What a beautiful new site!!

Your breakfast platter looks so satisfying. I should do more platters, they’re more fun to eat :)

Angharad (Eating for England) August 31, 2009 at 1:04 pm

Holler for the new site!! Except in this comment box section I am apparently currently writing in the “Web site” section which I’m pretty sure is untrue. And I had to leave my name and email twice. Hmmm. Bumps…but this new site is BOMB! I LOVE it!! Clean, pretty and easy on the eye.
That platter of grub looks ace of spades, as does the dins salad! Happy Monday friend x

Megan (The Runner's Kitchen) August 31, 2009 at 1:40 pm

Congrats on the new site, lady! And double congrats on the 18-mile run! I love reading about other people’s successful long runs. It gives me the warm fuzzies :-)

Highlight of my weekend: moving from my old apartment to my new one and not killing anyone in the process. Plus I got a futon for 20 bucks and cowgirl boots for FREE. yee-ha!
