Today, my blog turns three years old.
Ugh, is this what parenting is like? You birth this thing and then three years later – bam! – that thing is a toddler and growing and evolving and it’s all so amazing to watch but yet at the same time, you just want time to freeze its ceaseless passing for a moment. Just an opportune moment when you’re fully ready to breathe and take in what this thing is now.
Or am I just crazy?
Yeah…you’re calling me crazy…that’s what I thought too.
But seriously, thank you to every.single.person. who takes even 10 seconds out of their day to come read my little corner of the Internet. Your endless support never ceases to lift me higher and push me to do more than I thought myself capable of, even when I jabber on about absolute nonsense or use this blog as an almost personal diary of sorts to express the deep (somewhat crazy) thoughts I am feeling on any given day.
In honor of the blog’s third birthday, I plan on doing three things this month to celebrate:
(1) Bake a 3-layer cake.
(2) Make from-scratch everything bagels.
(3) Perfect these vegan lemon scones (and these PB pretzel brownies, for good measure).
Because if there’s anything you all deserve for putting up with me, it’s cake, carbs and scones.
