Inspired by the writings of a certain Fitnessista and Glo-ing gal…I decided it was time to make some resolutions for the new year. Instead of resolutions however (those never seem to work out), I am making a list of Things I Will Do in 2010.

Things I Will Do in 2010
Run two 1/2 marathons at a sub-1:50 pace.
The first will be the Madison 1/2 Marathon in May, and the second one is TBA. My two other 1/2 marathon times are 1:52 and 1:53, so if anyone has any tips on shaving off 3 or 4 minutes, let me know!
I don’t care where, when, how or why – I just NEED to travel!
Put an additional $2000 in savings.
This equals out to $167/month. So, if my shopping habit doesn’t rob me, I should accomplish this just fine.
I am looking at taking a class starting in January – I would LOVE to eventually become fluent!
Write a story + get it published.
I have a couple travel stories I have written (including this one here), but I need to get proactive about sending them out.
Cook one new recipe a week.
It’s easy to get lazy in the kitchen, but I really believe this one is completely doable. And tasty!
So, there you have it my friends…some of what I hope to accomplish in the coming year. And now you have all the evidential proof you need to hold me to my goals, tell me when I am slacking and keep a gal in line!
Isn’t it funny how the a new year really makes you feel like so much is possible? It is also my goal to try to hold onto that feeling all year long and remember that EVERYDAY is a chance to do whatever the hell I want. So corny, but so true :).
