in travel

It’s bad timing.

My wallet may or may not be able to afford it.

I probably shouldn’t eat + drink massive amounts due to my already snug pants.

But I’m doing it.

One layover. Two days off work. Three best friends. Four-day weekend.

Guns ablazing and boot spurs on.

Texas, here I come!

I’m one of those creepers that reads everyday and never comments, but you’re going to my home state so I had to say something! As anyone from TX will tell you, it’s pretty much the best state that’s ever existed. And it used to be it’s own country, which might account for all the crazy pride you’ll find there. Just an FYI to any runners, I ran the Houston Half last month — so much fun! The weather was gorgeous (except for a little rain) and the course is completely flat. I think some Olympic trials are going on at next year’s Houston Marathon, too! Wow, that was really long for never commenting before. Aaanyway… enjoy your trip!!

Bring your boots and your fat pants! Don’t skimp on the bbq, chips and queso and chicken fried steak. They’re what really makes the Lone Star shine.

Tamar February 17, 2011 at 9:48 pm

But you’re going to miss the protests!! :) Have fun!
